further aquisitions
I purchased this project as a pile of bits, engine had suffered a major crash as crank had been bent like a hair grip and repaired, there had been some parts already made (albeit incorrectly) for this, these included: new big end, new side shaft/crank shaft gears and a set of piston rings, it's also had some serious mullering, bodging and required a lot of fettling.
Rings were too large (had to machine them), Gears had been machined with too small a shaft hole and although a beautiful job new big end wasn't going to fit.
